Even with the standard setup, you can create a very powerful real estate site or blog using WordPress. However, you can take your site to a new level with some of the great free plugins that have been specifically designed for real estate professionals.
From listings management to enhanced functionality these WordPress plugins for real estate can help you really do some cool and useful things to your site.
However, I do want to note that there are several high-quality WordPress real estate themes available that have much of the functionality and features you might need for your site. Most notably, Elegant Themes’ Elegant Estate Theme which was designed exclusively for real estate sites and blogs. It not only offers some great things for real estate, but has built-in SEO tweaks and other features that minimize your need for plugins.
There are many plugins available (and please note I haven’t tried all of these) but you can play around with them a bit to get a feel for how they work.

This is seems to be a pretty feature-rich plugin and looks to be one of the most robust options available.
Simple Real Estate Pack is a package of real estate tools and widgets designed specifically for real estate industry blogs and web sites. The plugin includes mortgage and home affordability calculators, closing cost estimator, live mortgage rates, Trulia and ALTOS statistical charts, local schools, local rental rates meter, business listings from Yelp and Google Maps. Optionally, Simple Real Estate Pack can function as an extension for Great Real Estate (GRE) plugin, and will add new features to the GRE if it’s installed.

There are some fantastic themes here. Partially like deCasa. We are looking move from our free site made with Yahoo site builder which has been faultless for many years. Has been really easy to use, therefore easy for buyers looking for properties to easily find what they are looking for. We never really have more than twenty-five properties, of those we would we would be tweaking and doing some form of marketing everyday. We now have added video to our listings of which we have about 19 hosted on youtube,smugmug and our blog at wordpress. Our site can be found at http://www.cmhproperties.com and you can see there is a lot of wasted space around the site. As for an idea, would really like, for there to be enough space on the home page for a video gallery + agent video introduction.
